Crispy Belgian Waffles Recipe: Light, Fluffy, and Irresistible

Growing up, Belgian waffles were a family favorite. We still make them often — they’re simple, delicious, and freeze well so you can reheat leftovers whenever you like.

Belgian Waffles

Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup butter melted
  • 3 eggs
  • 2 cups milk
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 2 Tablespoons sugar
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • 2 cups flour

Instructions

  • Combine the wet ingredients (melted butter, eggs, and milk) in a bowl or blender and mix until smooth.
  • Add the dry ingredients (flour, sugar, baking powder, and salt) and stir until just combined. Avoid overmixing to keep the waffles light.
  • Preheat a waffle iron and cook the batter according to the manufacturer’s directions until golden and crisp. Serve warm with your favorite toppings.
