Growing up, Belgian waffles were a family favorite. We still make them often — they’re simple, delicious, and freeze well so you can reheat leftovers whenever you like.
Belgian Waffles
Ingredients
- 1/2 cup butter melted
- 3 eggs
- 2 cups milk
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 2 Tablespoons sugar
- 1 teaspoon baking powder
- 2 cups flour
Instructions
-
Combine the wet ingredients (melted butter, eggs, and milk) in a bowl or blender and mix until smooth.
-
Add the dry ingredients (flour, sugar, baking powder, and salt) and stir until just combined. Avoid overmixing to keep the waffles light.
-
Preheat a waffle iron and cook the batter according to the manufacturer’s directions until golden and crisp. Serve warm with your favorite toppings.
