Last weekend I published a blog post about body shame that has sparked a lot of conversation across social media. It grew out of a comment on my Instagram account and has led to thoughtful exchanges about how we talk about bodies—both others’ and our own.
The goal of the post wasn’t to respond to the commenter, but to open a broader dialogue around body shame and body shaming. The response has been encouraging: people are taking the topic into their everyday conversations with kids, coworkers, friends, and family.
This conversation is happening alongside the opening of free tickets for my 2017 Women’s Strength Summit, which I’m thrilled about. The summit is built around six core themes:
- Mindset
- Movement
- Nourishment
- Women’s health
- Empowerment
- Community
Each expert session is designed to give practical strategies to help you build a stronger body, a clearer mind, and a braver spirit—so you can step outside your comfort zone and live a life you truly enjoy.
