Weekend Menu Plan, Deep Cleaning Checklist & DIY Fairy Garden Guide

ORGANIZE YOUR WEEK, MENU PLAN, CLEANING LIST, WEEKLY PLANNING

Happy New Week!

I’m excited about this week’s plans. I’m especially looking forward to trying my first slow cooker pot roast and creating a simple fairy garden for the backyard. I never would have considered a fairy garden before, but after seeing so many ideas on Pinterest I had to try one. The young woman in the video tutorial makes it look very easy, so I’m confident I can put together something charming without too much fuss.

I hope your week goes well! Look for our Memorial Day post this week — I would love to include the names of your military loved ones. Whether they are active duty, veterans, retired, or were lost in service, my family and I are deeply grateful for their sacrifice and service.

Menu Plan for the Week

  • Monday – Leftovers from Sunday’s BBQ. I also baked several chicken breasts while my husband worked the grill, so I’m set for Whole30-friendly lunches all week.
  • Tuesday – Tacos, salad, and watermelon.
  • Wednesday – Slow cooker pot roast with potatoes and Indian-style stewed okra (it’s better than it sounds).
  • Thursday – Pasta with a hearty ground turkey “Sunday gravy” and a side salad.
  • Friday – DIY night. Mom needs a break, so it’s family movie night — we’ll probably pick up a frozen pizza from the store.
  • Saturday – Dinner out at our favorite local Indian restaurant. Yum.
  • Sunday – Family BBQ. Menu TBD based on what’s on sale at the market, but I plan to serve vegetarian baked beans and cherry pepper slaw.

Cleaning List for the Week

Monday – Deep clean the kitchen. Choose one major appliance or area to focus on.

Tuesday – Bathrooms. Give tubs, showers, sinks, and mirrors a thorough scrub.

Wednesday – Dusting, mirrors, and windows.

Thursday – Room of the week: master bathroom. Wash and dry blinds and/or curtains.

Friday – Declutter one small area for 5–10 minutes or catch up on anything missed during the week. Keep it simple — Friday is for family and fun!

Saturday – Linens and extra laundry. Fresh sheets and towels are such a treat.

Sunday – Free day and family day. If it’s sunny we’ll take a long family walk and celebrate any family birthdays.

Don’t forget our cleaning daily list with a free printable to help keep routines consistent.
