Take an inside look at Moon Juice in Los Angeles. If you’re visiting LA, stop by this wellness boutique for a nutrient-rich smoothie, tonic, or pressed juice. The shop also carries a thoughtfully curated collection of vitamins, adaptogenic dusts, and elixirs.

This year I’m sharing some alternative dessert recipes alongside traditional sweets on Sugar and Charm. I believe it’s important to find a healthy balance with food and desserts. Baking and treats are joys to savor, but I don’t indulge every day. Sometimes a glass of homemade chocolate almond milk (it really tastes like dessert) or a dark chocolate coconut truffle is enough.

I’m excited to feature Moon Juice because I’m a fan of their concept: a plant-sourced alchemy boutique that blends the juice bar model with a unique wellness focus. Their menu includes organically pressed juices, cold brew coffees, signature dust blends, and plant-forward small plates.

The juices are nutrient-dense and designed to deliver specific benefits on their own. You can also have a juice blended with banana and a dust of your choice to create a filling, flavorful lunch.
We tried a blue smoothie topped with blue spearlike and cocoa nibs, mixed with silver strawberry juice and a dust blend, and finished with half a frozen banana. It was delicious and energizing.

Moon Juice also crafts inventive coffee drinks with added herbs and dusts. My favorite was an iced cold brew with coconut and Beauty Dust, finished with a sprinkle of cinnamon — rich, smooth, and surprisingly bright in flavor.

Moon Juice Dusts
The dusts are a highlight. Packaged with distinctive branding, each blend is formulated to support a particular need — focus, beauty, sleep, and so on. They mix easily into coffee, tea, smoothies, or other recipes.
I purchased Beauty Dust, Brain Dust, and Dream Dust and have enjoyed using them in drinks and smoothies. Moon Juice also offers pantry staples and plant-based protein powders for home use.

Amanda Chantal Bacon, Moon Juice’s founder, wrote The Moon Juice Cookbook, which includes 75 recipes for beverages and provisions focused on healthy living. The book contains snacks and a few sweet treat recipes that fit a wellness-minded approach.
