Raspberry White Wine Spritzer Recipe for Summer Cocktails

This refreshing spritzer is a family favorite I remember from my grandmother. She made a raspberry syrup from fresh raspberries picked in her garden and mixed it with white wine from her own small vineyard, topping the drink with seltzer. She served it at her little inn and the regulars nicknamed it “Mussolini.” I never asked why—only that it was delicious.

For children or anyone preferring a nonalcoholic or low-alcohol version, my grandmother would use the raspberry syrup and seltzer with just a few drops of white wine to give the drink a hint of flavor without the full strength.

  2. Pour the Raspberry White Wine Spritzer into a chilled glass over ice if desired. Garnish with fresh raspberries or a lemon slice for a bright finish.
