No-Bake Oreo Dessert
If your household loves Oreos, this recipe will be an instant favorite. Adapted from a version shared at church, the dessert is rich in flavor yet light and creamy. It’s a reliable hit for gatherings and can be varied easily by switching Oreo or pudding flavors.

Ingredients
Quantities and full instructions are included in the recipe card below.
- Oreos (one package)
- Butter (melted)
- Cream cheese – softened
- Instant vanilla pudding – use only the pudding mix; do not follow the box milk directions
- Cool Whip
- Milk – the recipe uses the specified amount below; whole milk gives the creamiest result
- Sugar
How to Make the Oreo Dessert
1. Prepare the base: Crush the Oreos and spread them evenly in a 9×13 pan, reserving some crumbs for the topping. Pour melted butter over the crushed cookies and press lightly to form a crust.
2. Mix the filling: In a large bowl, whisk the instant vanilla pudding mix with the milk until the mixture thickens. Add the softened cream cheese and sugar, and beat until smooth and well combined.
3. Fold in Cool Whip: Gently fold the Cool Whip into the pudding mixture until uniform. Spread this filling over the Oreo crust.
4. Top and chill: Sprinkle the remaining crushed Oreos over the top. Cover and chill for 2–3 hours, or until set, before serving.

Tips for Success
- Use any Oreo variety you prefer—Double Stuf, mint, or flavored Oreos will change the profile nicely.
- Do not add extra milk beyond what the recipe specifies. Ignore the pudding box instructions for milk.
- Chill the dessert for several hours for the best texture and flavor. It’s good right away, but it improves with time to set.
- For clean slices, use a very sharp knife warmed under hot water and wiped between cuts.
